DEME4Life 2013

The DEME4Life Foundation is inspired by DEME's ambition to consolidate the charitable actions of DEME's employees around the globe. On their initiative, a number of social projects have been supported in countries such as Nigeria, Mexico, Brazil, India and the Democratic Republic of Congo The Foundation aspires to reach out to the weakest and the less privileged individuals and communities in regions were DEME has ongoing projects. The DEME4Life Foundation reflects the Group's commitment to act in a sustainable way on a social, economic and environmental level.
The DEME4Life Foundation has selected two organizations in Vietnam as its key projects for 2013: the Thi Nghe Protection Center for disabled orphans and the Tien Giang Social Protection Center.

The Thi Nghe Protection Center for disabled orphans belongs to the Department of Labor War Invalids and Social Welfare of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee. The organization was founded in 1975 and takes care of the nurturing, healing, rehabilitation and education of orphans with cerebral palsy, polio, delayed development and mental retardation. The Center also helps to reintegrate and restore motor functions in handicapped children within local communities.

The Tien Giang Social Protection Center belongs to the Department of Labor War Invalids and Social Welfare of the People's Committee of Tien Giang province. The organization was founded in 1978 and takes care of orphans, the disabled and the elderly, and individuals suffering from mental disorders. Daily, the Center distributes food to hundreds of people and provides education and schooling for orphans.
