DREDGING INTERNATIONAL is one of the primary operating companies of the DEME Group, representing our core business together with Baggerwerken Decloedt.

Dredging International NV was established in 1974 by the concentration of the dredging division of Ackermans & van Haaren, which was founded as early as 1852, and Société Générale de Dragage. As a result Dredging International can now claim 150 years of experience and is to be found at the top level of the international dredging business.

Dredging International is currently working on every continent of the globe. The company is specialised in the construction and development of harbours, artificial islands, estuarial dams, canals and inland waterways, dike construction and reinforcement, beach replenishment and coastal protection, supply of dredged aggregates and salvage activities.

Dredging International can rely on a dredging fleet consisting of more than 80 main vessels, backed by a broad range of auxiliary equipment. This production potential is constantly updated and upgraded to the newest high-tech standards.

Dredging International adheres to a consistent partnering philosophy. Co-operation with local authorities and contractors is, therefore, a basic attitude of Dredging International and the DEME Group, endeavouring to foster sustained development in every part of the world in general.
