Marine and Civil Engineering : GeoSea

GeoSea is the specialised DEME company focusing on rock socketing, drilling and installation services for jetty foundations and mooring systems, the installation of offshore structures such as small platforms and outfalls, offshore wind farms and geotechnical investigations at large depths.

An emerging field of interest is the growing demand for decommissioning of offshore structures, requiring the assistance of jack-up platforms for crane assistance and accommodation, diving support and heavy lifting.

With the large jack-up platforms, “De Zeebouwer” and “Vagant” and "Buzzard", GeoSea has state of the art marine equipment rendering services in water depths up to 40m. The installation of the Samsoe offshore wind farm and the salvage of the car carrier ‘Tricolor’ off the French coast are amongst the most spectacular references of the “Vagant” – currently one of the best performing jack-ups around due to its high-speed jacking systems and 57m legs.
