Certificate of Competency (STCW 95): III/1 , III/2 , III/3

Your responsibilities:

As an officer in charge of an engineering watch you will work on board a TSHD, SPCSD or splitbarge depending on your motivation and skills. You are responsible for the maintenance and repairs of all technical installations on board. A ‘hands on’ mentality is required.

Your profile:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in marine engineering or you followed an ‘MBO-4’ or ‘HBO’ education in a maritime academy or nautical institute
  • You hold a COC (Certificate of Competency in accordance with the international convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers,1978, as amended 1995)
  • You speak fluent English
  • Working away from home both in Belgium and in other countries is not a problem for you
