Why did you choose DEME?

After I graduated in the summer of 2007 as a hydraulic engineer at the University of Ghent, I was looking for a challenging job in a young and dynamic company where I could further develop my fascination for hydraulics. It is an excellent opportunity to work for a hydraulic engineering company involved in projects spread over all 5 continents.

What do you like about your job?

At DEME, I found myself in a company with a lot of young and ambitious people, which made it a lot easier to adapt myself to my new professional life. The diversity of the various projects and tasks creates a new challenge each time. At the RME department, we make preliminary designs for contracted projects, but we also support the projects in execution by establishing a definitive design in cooperation with the hydraulic engineering consultancy agencies.

Would you recommend DEME to friends and acquaintances? Why?

Some of my friends have started working for DEME after I told them about my experiences here, so I would certainly recommend DEME to friends and acquaintances.
